Facilitation during “Somavati Amavisya"
Jammu Yatri Bhawan Trust Jammu to facilitate members / yatries visiting Haridwar during “Somavati Amavisya”
Jammu Yatri Bhawan Trust is making comprehensive arrangements to facilitate its members visiting Haridwar for holy dip in the sacred Ganga ji on “ Somavati Amavisya ”. The members who visits Haridwar on Somavati Amavisya will be provided free Accommodation, Fooding etc on the day. Keeping in view the importance of the day and for making proper arrangements for the convenience of the yatries at Jammu Yatri Bhawan Haridwar i.e. as also for security and safety reasons in holy place, the desirous visiting members / yatries should adhere following procedure / guidelines as issued by the Jammu Yatri Bhawan Trust on “ Somavti Amasiya ”
1. The member ( self ) who intends to visit Haridwar on the day shall apply 30 days in advance in writing in its Head office at Mohalla Darugiran for booking of rooms and thereafter no request shall be entertained for booking of accommodation.
2. Keeping in view of heavy rush on Somavati Amasiya, it is made cleared that the first preference for allotment of rooms at Jammu Yatri Bhawan, Haridwar shall be given to Room Donors, Ration Donors, and Members of Dainik Prasad Yojna that too on the basis of one room facility to self members only and no reference other than that is accommodated in the Somavati Amasiya in Jammu Yatri Bhawan complex.
3. The members shall furnish us their identity proof for having member of Jammu Yatri Bhawan which shall be accompanied with their request letter.
4. There shall be no change / interchange of rooms at Haridwar other then the allotted rooms by the Head office at Jammu.
5. No direct booking of any Yatri / pilgrim at Haridwar is allowed / allotted during “ Somavati Amasiya ”
6. The yatries / pilgrims are supposed to reach Haridwar Jammu Yatri Bhawan strictly as per date mentioned in their allotment of accommodation letter, failing which the allotment shall deem to have been cancelled forthwith, as it was noticed in many occasions that the members are not reaching to the Jammu Yatri Bhawan, Haridwar strictly as per allotment letter causing lot of inconvenience to the us.
7. Working Committee members shall obtain in writing request from the members who intends to visit Haridwar from their respective areas on Somavati Amasiya indicating their date of arrival, departure, number of members accompanied with allotee i.e. male, female & children, so as to reach to our Head office in advance by 30 days.
8. The allotment of accommodation at Jammu Yatri Bhawan at Haridwar shall be on the basis of first come first serve and on merit basis only.
9. The staff at Head office shall properly scrutinize each request letter and indicate the status of the members in their report before issuance of allotment letters to the members.
10. The visiting members / yatries are requested to co-operate the staff their and make proper sanctity in the Ashram.
11. Cash / Kind donation receipts so issued to the Working Committee Members and Revenue Collection Asstt. of Jammu shall not be put in use at Haridwar for the purpose of receiving donations and only authorized officers / officials / Working Committee Members shall receive donations in cash or kind from the yatries at Haridwar that too on the receipt books issued to Jammu Yatri Bhawan, Haridwar and accordingly issue receipt under their proper signature and thereafter shall handover the collection to the authorized officer at Haridwar under proper receipt.
12. All the Working Committee Members / Trustees shall ensure their presence at Haridwar in this auspicious occasion to personally supervise the arrangement made by the Trust and also ensure that no unnecessary hindrance is created in the smooth functioning of the programme at Haridwar which will adversely reflected the programme there. Nobody other than the authorized officer of Head office shall make any cutting / over-writing / alternation on the allotment letter of rooms issued from the Head office and not force any dealing officer / officials for the same and make proper discipline during the occasion.
13. The member / yatri’s who intend to perform “ Mokh ” on this day shall have to pay charges amounting to Rs 6100/- per Mokh ( subject to change from time to time as per Board decision). In lieu of this decision Jammu Yatri Bhawan will provide to the yatri one complete bedding material, utensils used in the Mokh, undertaking of Gau-Puja, whereas, the yatri shall bring with him Patriyan, two suits ( lady / gents ) two set of shoes ( lady / gents ) ration material, sweet and fruit, shanger material ( including Gold, Silver ornaments items )
14. For the convenience of the members / yatries Jammu Yatri Bhawan Trust already made requests to the Railway authorities for pressing into service of special trains on Somavati Amasiya. The request is under consideration of the Railway authorities and hopefully shall be considered in the time to come. This will be a mile stone for the yatries visting Haridwar as they will not to be suffered for running here and there for tickets.
15. Jammu Yatri Bhawan also arranging free Medical Facilities / medicines / check-up at Yatri Bhawan Haridwar during these days for the convenience of the yatries by taking services of some Doctors, who will render free services to the Yatri Bhawan on Somavati Amasiya.
16. S.R.T.C. Bus and Jamna Tour & Travels A.c. Sleeper Bus services arrangements, from Jammu to Yatri Bhawan Haridwar and back to Jammu from Yatri Bhawan, Haridwar are also ensure for the convenience of the Yatries.
