Bus Service
Jammu 09 May 2014 - Daily bus service from Jammu to Haridwar for the facility of devotees visiting the holy place is being pressed into service, from Sunday May 11, 2014. Sh. Shantmanu, Honble Divisional Commissioner, Jammu Division, Jammu will flag off the bus service from general bus stand Jammu on May 11.
The air conditioned Volvo Bus, with sleeping facility as well will be leaving Jammu bus stand daily late evening at 7.30 Pm and reaching Jammu Yatri Bhawan Trust premises Haridwar the next morning. Similarly, the A.C sleeping bus will be leaving Haridwar from Jammu Yatri Bhawan premises in the late evenings, to reach Jammu next morning
This new A.C bus service being launched is in addition to SRTC bus service already running daily between Jammu and Haridwar. The new bus service is being pressed into service on the persistent demand of growing number of devotees visiting the holy town. This will facilitate those who go to Haridwar for performing last rites of their deceased relatives at the banks of Ganga. On the occasion of flagging off the bus service, all the Trustees, Working Committee Members and staff of Jammu Yatri Bhawan Trust will also be present.
M/s Jamana Tour & Travel Jammu on the request of JYBT has extended this facility for providing Bus service from Jammu to Haridwar and vice versa. The poor person / pilgrims visiting Haridwar for immersion of ashes of their deceased relatives and who cannot afford the bus fare will be carried free of any charges as agreed to by Jamana Tour & Travels. On April 14, the auspicious day of Baisakhi JYBT installed the statue of Bhagwan Shiva and Ganga Maiya with in the JYBT premises and the inauguration of Ganga Sthali was performed by Mahamandleshwar and founder of Bharat Mata Mandir Haridwar, Swami Satya Nand Giri Ji, who was the Chief Guest on the occasion. Sh. Ram Bharat Anuj of Swami Ram dev Ji Head of Yoga Peeth and Director Sh. Khande Rao Chawanke MD Sedershan T.V. News Channel were the guest of honor. This will facilitate the pilgrims who stayed in JYBT and unable to attend the Arti at Harkipouri shall perform daily Arti programme there in line with the Arti performed at Harkipouri and also participate Shree Raman path, Shree Hanuman Chalisa path and Bhajan sandaya being performed by the learned Pandits daily in the evening on JYBT Haridwar. JYBT had installed on 14th April a statue of its late founder President Sh. Sat Pal Ji Langer to enliven his memory. The installation ceremony was formerly performed by Smt. Santosh Langer, the wife of late Sh. Sat Pal Langer and other members of the family. Managing Director, Absolute Quality certification Pvt LTD ( Accredited by : Joint Accredition System of Australia & New Zealand ( JAS-ANG) New Delhi had already issued ISO 9001:2008 certificate favouring Jammu Yatri Bhawan Trust, Haridwar on 20.07.2012 for maintaining prescribed standard for providing Accommodation, Religious functions and Food services to the pilgrims.
Besides above Managing Director ROHS certification Pvt Ltd, Accredited By: Dubai Accreditation Centre ( DAC ) Member of International Accreditation Form ( IAF ) on 26.04.2014 has awarded ISO 22000:2005 certificate favouring Jammu Yatri Bhawan Trust Haridwar for providing Food / Catering services to pilgrims. JYBT is one of its own kind at Haridwar who was awarded ISO 9001:2008 and 22000:2005 certificates for its better services rendered to the pilgrims. This certificate was issued in favour of JYBT for maintaining the prescribed standard strictly in accordance with Food Safety Management Act. In addition to the above JYBT is already organizing free Medical Camps for patients suffering from Cancer ailments in Jammu from where free medical check-up and consultation is provided by Renowned Oncologist PadamShiri Dr. Ashok Vaid, Chairman Institute of Oncology Medanta – The Medicity Gurgaon, for last four years. Dr. Ashok Vaid is son of soil originally belonging to Billawar in Kathua District. Besides giving free medical check-up and consultation Dr. Vaid has also been distributing costly medicine including the imported ones free to the poor patients at camps. JYBT is also in contact with other Medical specialists, belonging to Jammu, working in various parts of the country to come up for this noble cause by providing free medical services to the poor patients in Jammu and to serve for the cause of humanity.
